Utzons Jorn Museum

In 1961 Asger Jorn specifically wanted Jørn Utzon as architect to draw an extension of the Silkeborg Art museum where Jorns work was to be exhibited.

Out of it came two interesting and very different projects which both show Utzons special way to unite nature, architecture and man in quite a unique manner.

Best known is probably Utzons first project with its onion shaped galleries and organic shaped ramps  that gave an opportunity to experience the artworks from various angels hanging free.

None of Utzons projects was ever built.

The exhibition can be seen from the 18. June - 18. July 2010
